Psalm 100

Psalm 100
1Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing.

3Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

4Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His Name.

5For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations.

When I was in the third grade, I memorized the King Jam es version of Psalm 100, and received a nice Bible as a reward. It has always been one of my favorite Psalms I also like the Message version of this Psalm, not for its poetic verse, but for the way it says it in plain American language:
Psalm 100
A Thanksgiving Psalm
1-2 On your feet now—applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter,
sing yourselves into his presence.

3 Know this: God is God, and God, God.
He made us; we didn't make him.
We're his people, his well-tended sheep.

4 Enter with the password: "Thank you!"
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank him. Worship him.

5 For God is sheer beauty,
all-generous in love,
loyal always and ever.
Psalm 100 (The Message)
